Would you be willing to go hungry for a day, so someone else won’t have to?
A Fast-A-Thon is an event where the Muslim Student Association gets people to fast for a day from sunrise to sunset. For each person that fasts, money will be donated to the Food Bank by sponsors. When it's time to break the fast, we host a free dinner. This year, Fast-A-Thon will collaborate with and mirror the goals of Oxfam's Fast for a World Harvest to invite Muslims and Non-Muslims, who fast on this day, to donate the money they would normally spend on food and snacks, in an effort to battle poverty. Sign up and join us on Monday, the 26th of November, in an effort to raise awareness of and fight world hunger. Then, join us for dinner at 4:30 pm on that day!
